Kenneth Ho
Hatchery manager
Hey, I'm Kenneth Ho, the guy who runs the show at the hatchery. I've got a global perspective on marine resources, thanks to my joint Master's from HKUST and the University of Southampton. When I'm not looking after our broodstock, you can usually find me training for a marathon or teaching Wushu. For me, the same discipline and energy connect both my work in aquaculture and my passion for martial arts.

My Goals . . .
I'm aiming to merge cutting-edge technology with traditional aquaculture practices by deepening my expertise in smart oyster breeding and entrepreneurship. I plan to leverage data-driven approaches and innovative tools to help develop more resilient and efficient aquaculture systems. My long-term vision is to actively contribute to shaping an industry that is not only productive but fundamentally sustainable for the future.

My contribution to the Lab so far: Rajan’s view
Welcome Kenneth as the vital manager of our new hatchery – your dynamic vision to merge cutting-edge technology with traditional aquaculture is exactly the energy we need for this pet project. The global perspective from your joint Master’s programme is already proving invaluable as you apply data-driven approaches to build resilient and efficient systems. It is truly remarkable to see the same discipline and focus you apply to marathon training and Wushu translate so seamlessly into your dedicated management of our broodstock and hatchery operations. Your unique blend of scientific expertise and entrepreneurial spirit is a powerful asset as we shape a more sustainable future for the industry. I look forward to our continued work together in making this hatchery a cornerstone of productive and sustainable oyster aquaculture for Hong Kong and beyond.
